So its been six months today since i left Africa. What have i accomplished?

I dunno. I went through classes that would confuse half the Staff NCO's in my MOS. I've been doing pretty good as an NCO, although it took me for fricken ever to get my feet under me (Garrison Leadership is so much more retarded than taking care of my Marines in the Field).

I was promoted in billet too, I'm the main liaison between the sergeants and the rest of the people on the shop floor, so that's getting me preened i guess for someday when i get that third stripe. It is hard though because i prefer to be kinda a lone wolf. I got the knowledge and the ability to go out and single handed set up remote sites to communicate, but i rarely get those chances, howeverm I'm finding satisfaction in passing off my wealth of knowledge to the next rotation of bright eyed wet behind the ear Marines.

The Marine Corps is a team, however without everyone playing towards the same goal it will be hard for us to get the big Win. I try and be altruistic and look out for my Junior Marines (cause we can't say 'Devil Dog' anymore). Its just all these stupid rules. I had a buddy get NJP'd a while back cause he smacked a PFC upside the head that was being drunk, belligerent, and disrespectful.

That PFC didn't want to be a team player. And we can't even sober him up and remind him where the fuck he is.
It's not a fucking summer camp, it's the United States Marines.

2 more weeks till i go back to the states on leave.
